Are collaborative panels and presentations accepted?
Absolutely! We highly encourage collaborative panels, performances, presentations. etc. Just be sure that whoever submits the proposal form includes names and emails for all presenters.
Why aren’t registration fees listed on the site now?
We are committed to making the conference affordable and keeping registration costs as low as possible. We will be announcing the registration costs once we close proposal submissions. This approach allows us to ensure that each of you will only pay for what the conference actually costs.
How can I (or my department) contribute to the conference even if I can’t attend?
First, thank you for wanting to contribute although you can’t physically attend the conference. Here are three (but not the only) ways to contribute:
- Get your colleagues, students, and friends to submit a proposal.
- Donate money ($5, $25, $50, $100) or pay for a participant’s registration fee.
- Sponsor a reception (e.g. Friday morning breakfast), by helping us cover the cost of food and drink for the event.
How can I (or my department) support graduate students attending the conference?
A great question because many graduate students are on stipends that provide just enough to get through graduate school with the basics. And, as you probably already know, graduate students have to professionalize and network through events such as conferences. One way to support a graduate student is to pay for the registration fee. Another way, if you have the ability, is to pay for travel costs to the conference in the form of a fellowship. Contact us for more information.
